Earthquakes Strike Early

San Jose wasted little time getting on the scoreboard.

The quick goal gave San Jose confidence early and energized the home crowd at PayPal Park.

Judd continued his strong run of form with the finish, adding another goal to what has already been an impressive season for the forward.

Vancouver Takes Control of Possession

After conceding early, Vancouver slowly began taking over the game through possession and patient buildup play.

The Whitecaps controlled large portions of the match and consistently pushed numbers forward looking for an equalizer. Their movement in midfield created problems for San Jose throughout both halves, forcing the Earthquakes defense to stay organized under pressure.

Despite Vancouver controlling possession, San Jose remained dangerous on counterattacks and looked threatening whenever they found space in transition.

Goalkeeper Daniel also played a major role in keeping the Earthquakes in front with several important saves throughout the match.
