Austin FC thought they had found the decisive moment when the ball hit the back of the net, only for celebrations to be cut short. After a VAR review, the goal was ruled out, keeping the match level and adding to the tension on the night.
The disallowed goal proved to be one of the biggest turning points, as neither side managed to recover that cutting edge in front of goal.
