Fast Start From Nashville
LAFC faced a difficult challenge on the road Sunday night as Nashville SC defeated the Black & Gold 3-2 at GEODIS Park in an action-packed MLS matchup. Nashville started the match aggressively and quickly took control through star forward Hany Mukhtar.
The home side opened the scoring in the 13th minute after Mukhtar found space inside the box and finished calmly past the goalkeeper to give Nashville an early 1-0 lead. LAFC Responds Quickly
Despite the rough start, LAFC responded with urgency and attacking energy. Denis Bouanga sparked the comeback effort after driving forward on the left side and helping create LAFC’s first goal of the night.
Young forward David Martínez finished the play in the 22nd minute with a composed strike from close range, cutting Nashville’s lead to 2-1 and shifting momentum back toward the visitors. LAFC began controlling possession and creating more opportunities as the first half continued, looking far more dangerous after settling into the match.

Mukhtar Completes Hat Trick
LAFC entered the second half searching for an equalizer, but Nashville once again capitalized on a set-piece opportunity. In the 59th minute, Mukhtar stepped up for another free kick and delivered once again, curling his shot into the net to complete his hat trick and restore Nashville’s two-goal lead at 3-1.
The performance marked one of Mukhtar’s best outings of the season and pushed his total past 100 career goals for Nashville SC across all competitions.

Black & Gold Fight Until the End
Even after falling behind again, LAFC continued pushing forward and created several dangerous chances throughout the second half. Bouanga remained active in the attack while LAFC’s pressure forced Nashville goalkeeper Brian Schwake into multiple important saves.
LAFC outshot Nashville by a wide margin and controlled large portions of the match offensively, but Nashville proved clinical with its limited chances. The home side made the most of their set pieces while LAFC struggled to fully capitalize on their opportunities in front of goal.
Late in the match, LAFC pushed numbers forward in search of another comeback, creating tense moments during stoppage time. However, Nashville’s defense stayed organized and managed to hold onto the victory despite heavy late pressure.

Tough Result Before Next Stretch
The loss adds another frustrating result for LAFC as they continue trying to build consistency during the MLS season. Still, there were positive moments in attack, especially from Bouanga and Martínez, who helped keep the team competitive throughout the night.
For Nashville SC, the win extended their strong unbeaten run and continued their rise near the top of the MLS standings after another impressive performance at home.
